CHARACTER DESIGN
A gallery of my past character design work! Designs range from hand-drawn animation, limited 2D-rigged animation, and illustrative work.
STORYBOARDS
A collection of storyboard thumbnails I’ve done in the past! (5 sequences total)
PURLOINED (group film rough boards)
CONTEXT: It is nighttime, and two cats - a crafty spy and a dirty thief - invade a museum to steal the same golden ball of yarn. Both cats immediately begin to fight over the yarn; the Thief blinds the Spy by shaking off dirt accumulated from the floor grate, and the Spy takes the yarn from Thief by swinging at her with a grappling hook.
PURLOINED (group film rough boards, deleted)
CONTEXT: It is nighttime, and two cats - a crafty spy and a dirty thief - invade a museum to steal the same golden ball of yarn. Fighting over it, the cats tumble into the lobby, where they are spotted by a night guard dog. The dog sounds an emergency alarm and traps the cats!
SHIPWRECKED (school assignment)
CONTEXT: A man on a deserted island discovers a crate floating in the water, but a shark obstructs the way! By breaking a tree and using it as a bridge over the shark, the man reaches the crate… only to realize the crate contains a hammock.
BRUCE ALMIGHTY (school assignment)
CONTEXT: Bruce (a brainy middle schooler) and Alfred (his butler) are at a school science fair. Bruce feeds apple sauce to his colony of fruit flies, dreaming about winning the science fair’s grand prize. Suddenly, smoke fills the room as a superior science project enters the room - the Clean-Bot!
DOGGY BOYFRIEND EPISODE 1 (personal film)
CONTEXT: Waggy (a cheerful dog) meets Edgy (a stoic dog) outside of an ice cream parlor and falls head-over-heels in love. After inviting Edgy in to eat, he discovers Edgy is in a bad mood because his dad never played soccer with him as a kid. Sympathizing for Edgy, Waggy takes Edgy out to play soccer - and both have a fun time!
